Palida Georgoulakou - Artist
  -  Painting Exhibition   -  PAINTING EXHIBITION “ROADS“

Palida’s small essay for tenderness.

Inside the new year’s cake of art, there is a coin for everyone. What is needed is stubbornness and perseverance to find it and that is the difficult part. The realization of the moment, that each of us claims the right, in both expression and creation.

The moment of Palida has come.

This text was not written to journalistically flatter a new talent – I personally do not believe in talent, but in work and sensitivity.

It was written to welcome into the great family of painting, a new artist who also has color sensitivity and that particular stubbornness that turns dreams into pictures.

Do not be in a hurry to understand the present section of her paintings.  Let your selves to feel the underground drama running through the landscapes with the traffic-stricken avenues, the streets or the dusk which seem loaded with the sins of the day.

Palida has boldness and instinct. Sensitivity and desire to overcome her own weaknesses.
Tenderness in front of the drama of everyday life and I think she has understood that the tender ones will win at the end.

Because tenderness is made of steel.

Benchmark: Piraeus and the ‘‘Days of the Sea’’.

The artist, Palida Georgoulakou, is steadily inspired by the sea and its timeless symbolism, travel, communication and the overcoming of boundaries.

In her creations, she works over again on ships from the Cycladic or Mycenaean art, as a sign of respect for Greek naval history, but also as a sign of respect to the art that is inspired  by the liquid element.

Greece and the Aegean on the journey and the adventure of the world.
